Marin Makes Music
A night celebrating music in support of the Marin History Museum
Friday, May 2, 2008
Mill Valley Community Center
180 Camino Alto, Mill Valley
In the words of the incomparable Fats Waller..."The Joint Was Jumpin'" when the
Marin History Museum held its first Annual Marin Makes Music fundraiser May
2 at the Mill Valley Community Center. More than 200 people showed up --
dressed in everything from pink zoot suits to feathers and bling -- to
support the Marin History Museum as we gathered to honor and recognize the
music and music makers of Marin's past, present, and future. The venue was
electric with energy as guests swung to the tempo of the evening -- with
great company, delicious food and, of course, music, music, music!
Thanks to all of our many sponsors and supporters who made the night a
roaring success! The evening raised nearly $50,000 for the Museum's
programs that help the community honor Marin's past, connect with its
present and create its future.
We hope you enjoy these images and join us on our journey to create a
lasting tribute to Marin's musicians.
