Oral History Program

A Red Cross Girl: Erna Torney’s Story

The Marin History Museum presents Erna Torney's story. Discover the untold story of WWII Red Cross girls as Marin County resident Erna Torney shares her experiences during an oral history interview conducted in May 2008.

Interviews: Growing the Future

The Museum’s 2009 exhibit, Growing the Future, includes a year-long oral history program that is focused on both the history of agriculture and current issues farmers and ranchers face today in Marin County. In the fall of 2008, in preparation for the exhibit, three students from Dominican University conducted interviews with leaders in Marin’s agricultural community. These individuals represent different aspects of farming and ranching.
