San Rafael History Walks

Join a walking tour with the Marin History Museum and discover the history of San Rafael's colorful downtown area.

Location:
Start at the Boyd Gate House, 1125 B Street, San Rafael.

Time:
10–11:30am  

Dates:
Third Saturday of the month, May through September, 2011.
Walking tours will be held on:
May 21
June 18
July 16
August 20
September 17

Cost:
$10 for non-members; $5 for members; free for children

Connect with the past as you learn about San Rafael’s pioneer families while viewing the estates of Robert Dollar and Louise Boyd. Learn about San Rafael's Mission, Carnegie Library, The Belrose Theater, and other historic buildings.  Volunteer guides will tell the stories that make San Rafael history come alive.

Wear comfortable shoes, sunscreen, and hat!

Walking tour participants are invited to tour Falkirk Cultural Center at the end of the walking tour.  Refreshments will be offered.

Parking is available to Museum visitors on weekdays after 5pm and weekends all day at Westamerica Bank and Circle Bank, 5th Avenue and B Street.
