San Rafael History Walks
Join a walking tour with the Marin History Museum
and discover the history of San Rafael's colorful downtown area.
Location:
Start at the entrance to Boyd Park on Mission Avenue, next to the Marin History Museum.
Time:
10–11:30am
Dates:
Third Saturday of the month, May through September, 2010.
Walking tours will be held on:

Cost:
$10 for non-members; $5 for members; free for children
Connect with the past as you learn about San Rafael’s pioneer families while viewing the estates of Robert Dollar and Louise Boyd. Learn about San Rafael's Mission, Carnegie Library, The Belrose Theater, and other historic buildings. Volunteer guides will tell the stories that make San Rafael history come alive.
Wear comfortable shoes, sunscreen, and hat!
Walking tour participants are invited to tour Falkirk Cultural Center at the end of the walking tour. Refreshments will be offered.

Parking is available to Museum visitors on weekdays after 5pm and weekends all day at Westamerica Bank and Circle Bank, 5th Avenue and B Street.
Special Walking Tour of Dominican Neighborhood
Saturday, July 24, 10–11:30 am
The Marin History Museum will be conducting a special walking tour of the Dominican area. The tour will cover many of the older homes and buildings on the beautiful grounds of Dominican University campus as well as the surrounding neighborhood.
$10/$5 for members. Children are free
Parking is at the Conlan Center parking lot
