Save the Pictures, Preserve the Story: Caring for Your Family Photographs

Family photographs are more than pictures—they are records of people, places, relationships, and memories. Drawing on archival principles and practical experience, this presentation offers guidance for caring for, organizing, digitizing, and preserving family photographs, as well as the stories and information that give them meaning.

Optional Professional Appraisals

Curious whether that old painting, baseball card, or family heirloom is worth more than you think?

Experts from Michaan's Auctions will offer optional verbal fair market appraisals for up to three items, including fine art, antiques, jewelry, furniture, Asian art, coins, stamps, sports memorabilia, and other collectibles.

Professional appraisal:

• $20 for Marin History Museum members
• $25 for non-members

Advance registration is required for appraisals. After registering, you'll be connected directly with a Michaan's Auctions appraiser to schedule your appointment between 1:30 and 4:30 p.m.
